Authentic Leadership & Purpose
My Best Resources
There’s a lot of information and deep practice contained in these resources that could transform your life and relationships. I encourage you to work through them slowly, generously and openly, and to watch what arises in yourself and others in the process.
To begin with, I invite you to choose just one idea or practice to put into action.
One of the biggest stumbling blocks for my clients as they step more and more fully into their authentic selves is figuring out what is actually authentic for them. But here’s the thing: there is no such thing as 100% authentic.
I’ve long been frustrated with the marching chant of finding our ‘purpose’ in life. I believe that nothing will change until you live your life purpose where you are, in whatever you’re doing.
Today I overheard a man talking on the phone, saying “I don’t want you to feel unappreciated for everything you do,” and here’s what I wanted to tell him: Instead of telling people how you don’t want them to feel, treat them in ways that have them feel how you do want them to feel.
There’s a lot of talk about the idea of “hell yes or hell no,” which I think originally came from Mark Manson. And there’s another layer I personally use on a regular basis in my life: I have found so much value, and also creativity, in asking ‘what would make this a hell yes?’
