So many of the people I talk to these days feel lost, overwhelmed, confused….
And, truly, we are living through some wild times right now. Not only is there a lot that’s actually going on & a lot that needs to be addressed, but there is just plain A LOT of information coming in, and it’s important to have tools for filtering & processing this level of information.
We also need to allow ourselves to NOT know what we don’t (yet) know.
The pressure to always be informed, to have an opinion, to take a stand, to have a ‘hot take’ is not only exhausting – it’s one of the ways we perpetrate violence on ourselves & others.
I want to offer two resources for this:
1. The Power of ‘I Don’t Know’
If you have trouble with boundaries, struggle with saying no, or find yourself often having agreed to something that, in retrospect, you wish you had said no to… these three words can change your life: I. Don’t. Know.
Telling the truth about what we don’t actually know (yet) creates trust & builds our capacity for holding uncertainty — both in ourselves & others.
You can also read more about the practice here.
2. How to discover what you DO know
In this video, I talk about what confusion & overwhelm actually are, as well as where these feeling-states come from – and offer a few simple practices to help you access your own clarity.
I hope this is helpful & I’d love to hear any thoughts, reflections, or questions you have!
With Love,
Kendra
