Like the seasons, like the lunar cycle, like our blood cycles, like breath itself, life is cyclical, not linear.
We don’t walk through life on a straight line — we spiral.
The seasons guide our inquiries. The lunar cycle guides our rhythms. In this way, we learn to listen to a more true resonant note, than that ever-present, speedy buzz of the over-culture.
In this way, we find our own correct rhythms of ebb and flow; of action and release; of creation, preservation, and destruction.
We tend to each other. We tend to our lives. We tend to ourselves.
Our experience of life occurs through our human body, not just our minds.
While it’s easy to confuse the map of our minds for the territory of life, this is actually not reality. It’s natural for our brains to map emotions, feelings, and thoughts from previous experiences we’ve had, but so much more is available when we are connected to the fullness of the present moment.
Becoming more awake inside our bodies gives us deep access to self-trust, it allows us to attune correctly to our environment, helps us feel a deep belonging on the earth, and expands our responsiveness to life as it occurs around us.
In essence: we become more human and more of us becomes available to respond to life every moment.
Join me for Spiral of Becoming, where each gathering will offer a space to reflect on the past season, connect to what’s most true for you now, and set your course for the coming season — as you map your life in alignment with the rhythms of the earth.
The Equinoxes invite us to connect with Balance.
Balance is not something you ‘achieve’ nor is balance static.
If you want to live your life in balance, you must become both deeply sensitive & deeply responsive.
Because here is the truth: Moments of balance are fleeting, and stitching together a life built of moments of balance is an act of consistent adjustment, within & without yourself.
If you want to live your life in balance, you must fall in love with falling.
A yoga teacher of mine, many years ago, once said: “True balance is the ability to fall in any direction, equally.”
Equinoxes ask us to let go of preconceived ideas & become sensitive to what’s needed in the present moment.
Fall in love with a lifetime of micro-adjustments towards attunement & you will fall in love with (your) Life.
Solstices invite us to reflect on light & darkness

Solstices are clarifying.
What wisdom might be in the darkness?
What wants to be brought into the light?
They ask us to find our truth not in equality, fairness & balance, but in the wilder places of ‘too-much-ness’ or ‘not-enough-ness.’

Summer is a time of ripening.
On the longest day of the year, we explore the Fullness of Light & Returning of the Dark.
We honor the ‘heat’ of this time of year.
We shine!
Fall Equinox
Fall teaches us about transitions & letting go.
Fall asks that we embrace and trust who we are in the moment, and that we don’t need to hold onto who we have been in the past.
Fall is a time of harvest & gratitude.
Winter Solstice
Winter is a time for hibernation. On the longest night of the year, we honor the darkness inside ourselves and in the world, as we pray for the returning of the light.
We honor Shadow. Fear. Anger. Silence. Hunger. Sleep. Resistance.
No part is unwelcome.
WHAT TO EXPECT
These gatherings are less about mind-only learning, or new frameworks, and more about our bodily experiencing & knowing.
These gatherings will be guided by seasonal awareness & inquiry. Each gathering includes a mix of movement, meditation, guided writing, seasonal alignment, and ways to connect with yourself, as well as time for shares and Q&A.
There will be a recording if you can’t make the call live, but I strongly suggest attending live if you can! Gathering together in these times is essential nourishment.
These calls are open to all — all sexes, genders, and sexual orientations; all people from all walks of life.

How to prepare for a gathering
LOGISTICS
Each gathering is unique, but most will include guided practice, and we will begin together. Please make a note that we will start on time, and there’s no space to arrive late since we will be in practice. The Zoom room will be open 5 minutes early and we recommend that you plan to arrive then.
For this call, you will need:
- A journal and a pen
- A way to play your music through a different device than you are joining the call with (i.e. if you are joining the call on your computer, you could play the music on your phone, through a portable speaker)
- Provided Spotify playlist. (You will need a premium subscription in order to play the songs in order and without ads.)
- A practice space you can move in & not be disturbed. Best is a set-up where you can sit, lie down & stand/move comfortably. I recommend something like a blanket or sheepskin on a yoga mat on the floor, with additional blankets & pillows for comfort.
- Clothing that you feel good & comfortable in. Fabric that feels good on your skin is great! Layers are helpful.
- Water or beverage of your choice
- Optional: The ability to be on camera and use your microphone for sharing, or in case we do breakout rooms. There is no obligation to be on camera for all or any of the call, but you will need to be on camera if you want to share or be coached by Kendra.
Choose a practice space you can move around in and not be disturbed. It can be indoors or outdoors.

This is an experiential class.

If you’re late, you’ll miss class.
There is no space to arrive late because we will be in practice. Plan to arrive 5 minutes early.
There is live Q&A and coaching.
If you want to share or be coached by Kendra, you’ll need to turn your camera and microphone on.

Is this only for the Northern Hemisphere?
All are welcome. Kendra guides from where she is, which is Northern California. There will always be invitations to connect directly with the seasons of the earth where you actually are, but you should know that the guidance will be seasonally relevant from a Northern Hemisphere orientation.
What if I don't know anything about the Equinox/Solstice?
No problem! There are no prerequisites for these calls. Kendra will guide you through everything you need to take these practices on, one step at a time.

What kind of prep is required?
Set yourself up (to the best of your ability) to have uninterrupted space & time for these calls.
Show up to the session ready with:
- a notebook/journal
- pen/pencil
- whatever you need to be hydrated & nourished.
Wear clothes you feel comfortable in & can move in.
Ideally, have a space to lie down, or sit in a supported way.
How much time do I need to participate in this program?
Approximately 2 hours.
However, we recommend adding a little buffer. Allow yourself time to arrive a few minutes early & block some time afterward so you don’t have to rush right to the next thing.

How interactive are the sessions?
Kendra will be teaching live & offering guided processes, and there will be time for Q&A and coaching.
Will I be coached by Kendra?
Everyone will have the opportunity to volunteer for hot seat coaching and can raise their hand during the Q&A portion of the calls. Unfortunately, due to time limitations, not all participants will have the opportunity for individual coaching and feedback from Kendra.
However, a limited number of 1:1 coaching packages are available for Seasonal Gatherings participants who wish to receive more individualized coaching and feedback as part of this process.
